The Kiwi

The Soi 8 Pub has been renovated and renamed The Kiwi by the team behind The Australian (Sukhumvit Soi 11). To stand out from the Irish, English or Aussie pubs in town, The Kiwi’s all about New Zealand’s national rugby team, the All Blacks. It’s not only for rugby fans, though, with a wide range of sports on the screens and a family-friendly vibe that’s more conducive to chomping on a burger than getting pissed up with the lads.

For your meat-free feel, opt for the spinach pumpkin tortellini with percorino and lemon butter sauce (B220), quinoa salad with mango and mushroom fritti (B210) and gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce and chickpea spinach balls (B220)

The Dubliner Irish Pub by Bangkok Event 2013

The Dubliner brings an Irish pub presence to the Sukhumvit area. It has an authentic feel with a weathered wood furnish covering the three floors, all tinged with Gaelic bric-a-brac, making this alehouse “Pure Irish”. There’s belting live music on Friday with Lee shamrock, all the sports show on two big screen show major sports events to a raucous house. Shoot some pool on the third floor, and don’t miss out on their enticing menu that easily out classes traditional pub grub. A cracking night out!
